FAQ

All new residential & transfer students sign up for a meal plan during the housing application process. Returning resident students select their meal plans during the room selection process. Commuters and Faculty & Staff may purchase a Meal Plan from the StarRez Housing Portal available on ULINK. Additional Declining Balance can be purchased from our website.

DB are points that are treated like cash that can be used at any of our retail dining locations or dining room, in place of actual dollars. Each point is representative of $1.00 and can be used at any time during the semester. The best part about DB, once it is added to your Cajun Card, you will not be taxed on individual purchases. Treat your Cajun Card like a debit card, and swipe to use your DB! DB does roll over from one semester to another.

Meal Swipes re-set every Sunday morning, so if you have remaining weekly meal swipes on Saturday evening, those meals will expire. The only element of a meal plan that rolls over to a new week is Declining Balance (DB).

Our goal is to help students focus on health and nutrition. Our Executive Chef will work with you to make sure you have what is needed for special diets. Schedule a meeting with our Chef to talk about your diet and learn about your dining options. It is also encouraged that students download the free app by Sodexo called Bite. Bite allows you to filter the menu for the Dining Room for some allergies and special diets.
